Fibre Fridays

August 4,11,18,&25

Each Friday afternoon in august from 1-4pm we will be showing and teaching the different steps of wool production. Friday the 4th is washing, 11th is carding, 18th is spinning, and the 25th is dyeing. This is a free drop in event for all ages.

Art in the Garden

June 3-August 26

At the Michener House Museum every Saturday from 10 am-12 pm, come join us for Art in the Garden; Portraits of Lacombe. Art supplies are provided and all skill levels are welcome.

Michener House will be open for tours and Saturday will have fun hands-on weaving crafts in the afternoon.

Fundraiser: Admission by Donation

Light Up the Night

Join the Lacombe & District Historical Society as they revisit Christmas of yesteryear. Stop in to cozy Michener House and listen to Christmas stories read by Mrs. Claus. Get a taste of old fashioned Christmas with free cookies and cider. Purchase Christmas cards and handmade decorations.

Make your own Christmas Card and Decorations at the Flatiron Museum on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during Light Up the Night. A craft making workstation awaits you with all the supplies you need and inspiration to make a handmade card or decoration.

The 19th Annual Christmas Faire will be held on November 25th at the Lacombe Memorial Centre from 10am to 4pm. There will be around 100 tables of crafts, gifts and art. Visit the Historical Society's table for unique handmade items, souvenirs and gifts.
